NEW BUILDING CODE REQUIRES NEW MARKINGS
New ICSC building code regulations now require photoluminescent egress pathway markings in almost all tall buildings, nationwide. These new markings will cover handrails, the edges of every step and landing and the perimeters of every landing, plus a sign on every floor.
Only Lunaplast™ 2500 PC aluminum stair edge markers and handrail markers can withstand constant stairway traffic – and carry a 40-year luminance warranty as well!
As each state updates their building code to the latest version of the IBC, the new rules will come into effect. Any new buildings will be required to include photoluminescent safety markings in all exit stairwells. Any building undergoing renovations will be required to bring their stairwells up to code by installing these markings. S
Lunaplast™ photoluminescent products exceed every world standard for safety, longevity and brightness – including ASTM 2072/3, DIN 67-510, NYC RS6-1, UL1994 and IMO A752
